Questions about VPS.

Do I get root access?

Yes. Every VPS comes with root access over SSH. Install any software, configure the firewall and manage the filesystem yourself.

Which operating systems can I install?

Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, Debian 12, Alpine Linux and Rocky Linux.

How do snapshots and backups work?

Each plan includes one to three snapshots you take on demand. Automated daily backups are optional and add 20% to the plan price.

Can I deploy to a server I already have?

Yes. Connect your own server (AWS, Hetzner, DigitalOcean and others). Deployxa installs Docker and Nginx on it and routes your deploys to it.

How are SSH keys handled for my own server?

SSH keys and variables supplied for self-hosted deploys are held in memory only for the build and deploy session. They are not written to persistent storage.
